Gold wallpaper makes room sunny

My god, it looks so good I just wanna lick my walls all day.

Jojo. Tssk. Skärpning Kitekat!
Spiderman has nothing on cats

Dear everyone on the second floor. If you see a gray cat marching past outside of your window, don't worry - it's just Henryett. He's 15 years old and knows what he's doing. It was only last week that I discovered that he can walk around the entire building this way and sometimes does.
My new car is an old car. But new to me!
I've bought a car! I bought a 1985 Lada Niva!

Now, if you like some other people I know, started laughing at my wheels, I just want to know, can you do this with your car? Hmmmm? Can you? (nutty Russian music optional).
No? Can't pick up scuba divers while driving in the water? What about jumping. Can your car do this?
My car might be funny looking but it's one hell of a ride.
Stolen moment
After cleaning her room, she decided to invite her doll for a dance

and a quick kiss.

Phone-cameras are the best inventions evah!
Oh look, they did a whole shop window decorated with my work.

With the extra added touch of flying bras. Cute. I also did the posters, postcards and display cases. See Cover done for..

Book launch lunch at Café Royal, Copenhagen

Yesterday I had lunch with the writer, editors, illustrators and marketing people behind the book I've been working on recently - so I've not only seen Huskmitnavn, but I also managed to accidently photograph him with my phonecamera. I'm not posting that, though I did think that perhaps I should black him out in the shot and add one of his typical talk-bubbles just to be funny.
Anyway, we all had lunch at Café Royal which looks like what a seven year old girl would think a café looks like. Pink walls, giant candles, great chairs, huge cakes, all kinds of Royal Copenhagen cups and dishes, and of course smørrebrodsushi. It seemed to suit the books style quite well and I order everyone who has a little girl, or a little girl inside to go have a piece of cake and a giant cup of mocha there right now.

Tea!

Chairs!

Chandilliers!
Cover done for Maise Njor's new book "Du ser træt ut, skal jeg holde dine bryster?"
I've actually (gasp!) had a fun project recently - you know it's gonna be good when the title is: "You look tired, should I hold your breasts?". So I've been illustrating and layouting the book cover and done posters and various point of sale materials for the book. Today I got my very own copy, dented in one corner, but still. The thrill of seeing what I've only looked at on screen actually printed on a book is so nice! Batteries are out in my real camera so these out of focus phone-pics will have to do.

The front of the book - the outer cover is see-through, making the colors kind-of trash chick.

Remove the outer cover and you set our heroine free, complete with flying winged bra. Instead of breasts, there's the Authors name in round perky shapes.

The back cover shows off the colors again. God I love magenta right now.

Inside more winged bra, now as a pattern.

Some of the illustrations, but not all of them, on the inside of the book were made by me. The Buddah doing embroidery is one.

and the flame painted "rullator" that farts roses.

As well as the cannibalistic fry that eats himself.

And the black cat ready to get married.

Hitler mom.
As soon as I get all the materials properly shot I think I might finally add something new to my portfolio. About time, really.
I want this couch, do you know where I can find it?

In November, money was a little short and I spotted this couch at an online auction. It was a total steal and I could easily have afforded the couch, the shipping to Sweden from Denmark was trickier and it would all depend on if my clients paid me on time. Which they didn't as it turned out, so it was just as well that I didn't bid because that could have gotten me into a whole lot of money-trouble. However, I'm still madly in love with this couch, it's the perfect couch for my living room which really needs a couch, so now I'm trying track down if there are any more of these out there. It's Danish design, but I don't know by whom it was made. It looks like something H. J. Wegner would do; but even the auction house didn't dare put his name on this couch. Do you know anything about this couch, or where I might find one? I ((heart)) it and want one, right now. *swoon* I'll buy yours if you want to sell!

Trying to hunt down this couch I found the reference library which is full of images of odd and old things, furniture, places and art, oh I could spend hours there. I think I just did, what time is it?
Whale and bird watching in Boston
It's now a long time ago since I was in Boston to attend Caff's wedding but I still haven't posted all my photos. I really loved visiting there, one day we went whale watching. It was Miklas, the über-tourist who suggested it and I happily joined, forgetting that I get pretty sea sick. Ugh, it was rough. (pun!)

After a sweet wee land bird decided to sit on my hand while we were 25 miles out to sea, I figured it was all worth it.

The whales, humpbacks, we're curious about us too and swam really close to the boat and even underneath the boat which was pretty wicked awesome. Note: everyone in Boston says "Wicked awesome" all the time.

Also, soon after this, a whale breached not far from the boat. That was, indeed, wicked awesome. A+++++ would get seasick again!
